Overtime dusts accumulate on your air conditioner filter. This will reduce the ability of the filter to clean the air circulating in the room. Air conditioners are not just for cooling they also clean the air. For this to happen, the filter must be clean. Once in a while remove the filter and clean it. This can be done with warm water and soap or detergent.

Turn off your Air Conditioner before removing the filter but do not turn it back on until you have replaced the filter. The filter must be dry before you put it back. If the filter is bad then you should buy a new filter for the Air Conditioner.

Occasionally (every six to twelve months) you should remove the air conditioner casing and vacuum the coils (condenser and evaporator), compressor, fan blades, fan motors and the air conditioner housing generally.

While doing this be careful not to bend the fan blades and cause distortion in air flow.

Replace noisy air conditioner fan.
