How about a freezer that you can comfortably be powered with a 650VA electric generator or with solar energy from the sun?
Recently a Nigerian firm, Eagle and Hetch West Africa Ltd launched her flexible energy efficient solar powered refrigerator and deep freezer models in the Nigerian market.
These Refrigerator/freezer models can be comfortably powered using an 80W solar panel. The refrigerator has a built-in inverter that converts the DC current from the solar panel to AC current required by the internal components of the refrigerator.
You can now have your drinks chilled anytime NEPA or no NEPA (PHCN). You can also have your food fresh.
These Refrigerators can also be powered using a car battery. The product has a DC terminal that makes this possible. The built-in inverter then converts the DC input to AC. According to Eagle and Hetch a fully charged 12V 90 amperes car battery can power these refrigerator for up to three days.
These freezers from the onset were designed with Nigeria in mind. You can charge your battery whenever public power supply is available or with your solar panel. However, one great deficiency of the current models is the absence of a built-in battery charger. This means you will have to buy a stand-alone charger to charge your batteries.
This is not convenient. We recommend that future designs of these freezers will have built-in battery charger.

Because these freezers are energy efficient they can be comfortably powered using a low power generator. In fact Eagle and Hetch claims that two of these energy efficient solar powered refrigerators/freezers can be comfortably powered with a 950VA generator (a.k.a. I big pass my neighbor) with other gadget like TV, DVD and lighting points. By now it should be clear to you that this product can be powered using public power supply. That is flexibility in action.
