Toyota RAV4 is an advanced compact crossover SUV. Toyota RAV4 2009 is available as front wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD). 2009 Toyota RAV4 is available in three models namely RAV4 Base, RAV4 Sport and RAV4 Limited.
Toyota RAV4 2009 offers a 2.4 litre 16-valve Variable Valve Timing-intelligence (VVT-i) four-cylinder engine providing 166 hp of power at 6000 rpm. US specs come with a new and more powerful 2.5 litre Dual VVT-i engine providing 179hp power at 6000rpm. Toyota RAV4 also has an option of a 269hp 3.5 litre 24-valve Dual VVT-i V6 engine. The four-cylinder engine Toyota RAV4 is mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission system, while the V6 engine is equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission system.
Four-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Vehicle stability control (VSC) with traction control and brake assist are standard in all Toyota RAV4 trims.
Toyota RAV4 is also equipped with other safety features for driver and passengers. For driver safety, all 2009 Toyota RAV4 models are fitted with driver advanced airbag system, 3-point seatbelt and driver side airbag. Passengers are also protected with front passenger advanced airbag system, front passenger side airbags, roll sensing side curtain airbags. Toyota RAV4 also comes with three-point seatbelt for all passengers. All Seatbelts offer emergency locking retractor feature.
2009 Toyota RAV4 offer more standard safety features like side-impact door beams, collapsible steering columns, and front energy absorbing crumple zone.
Toyota RAV4 base and sport comes with CD/mp3/wma player with six speakers, and AM/FM stereo radio. RAV4 Limited adds a 6-disc CD changer and satellite radio. Optional for 2009 RAV4 sport and RAV4 Limited is Bluetooth handsfree and nine speakers.
Toyota RAV4 comes with CFC free air conditioning as standard. Toyota RAV4 also offers power steering, power windows with jam protection, power door locks, remote keyless entry, and rear window defogger.
Cloth seats are standard, but leather seats are optional for Toyota RAV4 Limited and RAV4 Sport. DVD player and navigation system are also optional for Toyota RAV4 Limited and RAV4 Sport.
