1GHz fast Processor with colourful back covers
The Nokia 500 is the second Nokia phone, behind Nokia N9 MeeGo phone, to feature a 1GHz processor, but the first Symbian phone to boast of such a fast processor. With such a fast processor and a 256MB RAM, Nokia 500 promises fast performance with multitasking. However, Nokia 500 has no separate 2D/3D Graphics processing unit, which could result in just a marginal improvement in performance over current Nokia Symbian offering especially in media demanding applications.
Nokia 500 features Symbian Anna, an updated Symbian^3 OS. Symbian Anna comes with a number of improvements like an improved user interface, a faster browser, multiple customisable homescreens, improved social media support, improved multitasking, better instant messaging, email enhancements, and the latest Nokia Ovi Maps.
Nokia 500 offers three customisable homescreens, one for message updates, the other for social media updates, and the third for your favourite apps and games. It comes with two additional back covers in the box, enabling you choose the cover that perfectly expresses your current mood.
