Nokia has announced three new phones in its Nokia Asha range of series 40 feature phones at MWC, 2012. The new phones, Nokia Asha 302, Asha 203, and Asha 202 are targeted at entry level market. The top of the new models is the Nokia Asha 302 which features a QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4-inch touch display, and is the first series 40 phone to support Microsoft Exchange email. Nokia Asha 202 and Asha 203 are identical except that Asha 202 supports dual-SIM.
Nokia Asha 302
Nokia Asha 302 is targeted at young people in business. It features touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy typing. Nokia Asha 302 comes with great communications support with one touch access to your email, chat, and social network. It is also the first series 40 phone to offer Microsoft Exchange email, which will enable users handle business emails as well as synchronise their contacts.
Nokia Asha 302 features a 3.2MP camera, stereo FM radio, 3G internet (up to 14.4Mbps), up to 32GB memory card. Asha 302 is expected to cost around 95 EUR (N20,000)
Nokia Asha 202/203
Nokia Asha 202 and Asha 203 share similar specs, but the Asha 202 is a dual-SIM phone. The dual-SIM is dual-standby with the secondary SIM hot swappable. Both phones feature touchscreen with fast touch access to your email, chat, and social network. Nokia Asha 203 and Asha 202 feature 2MP camera, FM radio, and are expected to come at a price of 60 EUR (N13,000).
All the new Asha phones come with an exclusive games gift from EA with 40 games to download from Nokia Store free with 60 days. They also feature Facebook and Twitter apps with Nokia Asha 302 and Asha 202 adding Whatsapp.
