The Lontor LED rechargeable lantern is very easy to use once charged. Simply turn the switch clockwise or anticlockwise to light up your surroundings. The switch is a four way rotary switch. Turning it clockwise will take you from white light, half brightness to white light, full brightness to colourful disco flash light and finally to off.
The switch is quite easy to turn and does not make any noticeable sound. We did not notice any form of partial contact issue with the switch throughout the review period. The switch is quite firm, we did not notice any movement (shake).
Lontor LED rechargeable lantern is very bright. Even at half brightness we observed it was much brighter than your standard kerosene lamp. We recommend using the half brightness for reading as we noticed that the full brightness could be too bright for reading.
The full-brightness mode is recommended when you want to lightup a room say when cooking in the kitchen or during dinner. We observed that giving the lantern elevation increased the footprint of the illumination. Hanging it in the middle of the room will give it the highest coverage. So, you can install a hook or hinge for hanging the Lontor lantern.
You can simply place the lantern on a table but to get the best illumination for a room, hanging the lamp high-up was best. Of course, placing on the table is best when reading or when the need the light concentrated in a smaller area.
