BlackBerry (formerly RIM) has unveiled 2 smartphones powered by its new BlackBerry 10 OS. The first phone, the BlackBerry Z10, is a full touch smartphone with a 4.2-inch Display and will be available worldwide starting with the UK January 31, 2013. The second phone called the BlackBerry Q10 will feature the trademark BlackBerry physical QWERTY keyboard and will be available much later in April.

BlackBerry targets new users with Z10
It is no longer news that touchscreen smartphones are a lot popular than smartphones with physical QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry is targeting the BlackBerry Z10 at this new and growing market. While BlackBerry is well known for QWERTY keyboards, the company understands that to grow market share it needs new subscribers. BlackBerry Z10 might be key to that.

This is probably why the BlackBerry Z10 will be out of the gate first. BlackBerry Z10 launched worldwide on both GSM and CDMA networks starting with the United Kingdom on January 31, 2013. It is now available in Nigeria. BlackBerry Z10 is available in black and white models.
The BlackBerry Q10 is targeted at BlackBerry’s loyal base. It features a 3.1-inch AMOLED touch display and a physical QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry Q10 will be available in May, 2013 in Nigeria.
