While owners of Android phones and iPhones are waiting for the official launch of the BBM for their respective platforms, owners of Windows Phone could also be getting BBM soon. This is according to reports from themobileindian.

According to the Indian based tech news site, Gary Klassen, the creator of BBM hinted this while talking to the blog on the sidelines of an event in Hong Kong. Gary Klassen was quoted at saying “BBM will not be limited to just Android or iOS. We are open to other platforms also. We want more are more people to enjoy and experience BBM”
Although Gary did not specifically mention Windows Phone, the platform is the third most popular platform and with BBM already confirmed for the top two platforms it is only natural the next platform for BBM will be Windows Phone.
After the failed launch attempt of BBM on Android phones and iPhone, BlackBerry has been sorting out the issue and is said to the beta testing the updated BBM. According to BlackBerry up to 3 million people have registered to be notified when BBM becomes available.
