Nokia’s yesterday’s roll-out of devices was not all about highend devices like the 6-inch Lumia 1520 or the Lumia 2520 tablet, the company also introduced 3 new low cost devices from in the Nokia Asha 500, Asha 502, and Asha 503. The three devices builds on the Nokia Asha 501 and starts at an exciting price of around $69 (~ N11,000).

The new Nokia Asha phones runs on the same Nokia Asha platform as the Nokia Asha 501. They all feature FastLane, which gives users a glimpse of their past, present, and future activities and offering swipe gestures back to whats important to them. FastLane has also been updated with counters to show you how many unread updates in apps like Facebook.
The New Asha phones will come with WhatsApp support. According to Nokia, Asha 501 will be getting WhatsApp support in an upcoming update. New Nokia Asha 501s will be shipping with WhatsApp support.
The 3 new Asha phones are more less similar and advances as their number increases.
Nokia Asha 500 is available in dual-SIM and single-SIM variant and spots a 2.8-inch touchscreen and 2MP camera with GPRS/EDGE internet and up to 35 days standby battery time. Nokia Asha 502 ups the screen and camera to 3.0-inch and 5 megapixels respectively, but still offers GPRS/EDGE internet and is only available with Dual-SIM.
The star of the new Asha additions is the Asha 503 with a 3.0-inch touchscreen and curved Corning Gorilla Glass and a 5MP camera with flash. It also features fast 3.5G internet and will be available in single SIM and dual-SIM variants.
The new Nokia Asha Phones will be available first in Asia-Pacific market this quarter with the Nokia Asha 500, Asha 502, and Asha 503 price before taxes and subsidies at $69, $89, and $99 respectively. We currently have no official word Nigeria pricing and availability.
