While the rest of the world are lining up to download the newly released BBM for Android and iPhone, Nigeria and Sub Sahara Africa have been put on-hold for 3 days. The only lucky bunch are owners of Samsung Galaxy phones, who can download BBM immediately at the Samsung Apps Store.

A note on the BlackBerry announcement of the availability of BBM indicated that customers in Africa will be getting the app in 3 days. The note reads “Samsung customers in Sub-Sahara Africa can download BBM today (October 21) from the Samsung Apps store. iPhone and other Android users in Africa will be able to download the app in three days’ time.”
This means that if you own an iPhone, or a Tecno Android, or Sony Xperia, or any other Android phone except the Samsung Galaxy, you will be getting BBM sometime on Thursday. We will post more updates when we know more. Meanwhile, you can read the BBM Announcement.
