Nokia Lumia 525 is a modest, but significant update to Nokia’s hottest selling smart phone, the Lumia 520. The major upgrade in the Nokia 525 is the RAM, which has been doubled from 512MB to 1GB making it compatible with a lot more apps at the Windows Phone Store.
Affordable, but Capable Phone
More RAM makes the smart phone more useful. It will now be able to run a lot more apps and run them more smoothly with 1GB RAM. It will still be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor running Windows Phone 8, but with the new Lumia Black update. Nokia Lumia 525 has an 8GB built-in storage, which expandable by up to 64GB using microSD slot.
Nokia Lumia 525 features a 4.0-inch IPS Display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution and scratch resistant glass protection. The rear camera still offers 5 megapixels resolution with 720p HD recording. It still lacks flash and a front facing camera like the Lumia 520.
Pricing & Availability
Nokia is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the Nokia Lumia 525, but we expect it to be close to the price of its predecessor. We expect Nokia Lumia 525 price in Nigeria to be less than 30,000 Naira at launch. We will be updating this post when pricing becomes official.
