Sony SmartBand SWR10 is a fitness band that also enables you track your lifestyle. It consists of a wrist band (Sony Wrist Strap SWR110) available in several colours and a Core unit which snaps into an opening under the wrist band and does the actual tracking. Sony SmartBand SWR10 does not have a display rather it sends notifications by vibrating or by flashing the 3 LEDs on the side.
Fitness Band & Lifestyle Tracker
Sony SmartBand SWR10 is a fitness band that keeps track of your activities and movements. It is not just a health or fitness tracker and pedometer, it can keep a log of all your activities via the Sony Lifelog app: it can capture the music you listened to, the restaurant you ate in, the friends you were with, and photos you took, and creates a life bookmark.
You can share your life bookmark with your friends or you keep them to yourself and see how boring or exciting your day was. Sony SmartBand SWR10 communicates with your smartphone via Bluetooth or NFC. It will vibrate or flash the LED when there is an important notification from your phone.
You can also control music playing on your smartphone with your Sony SmartBand. You play, pause, of skip tracks with your SmartBand. The Sony SmartBand can operate for up to 10 days on full charge.
Pricing & Availability
Sony SmartBand SWR10 will be available from March and will support a couple of Sony Xperia phones and possibly other brands. We can not confirm whether the fitness tracker will ever make it to Nigeria, but if it does, we expect Sony SmartBand price in Nigeria to range from N22,000 to N30,000.
