The Z3, BlackBerry’s biggest attempt so far at launching a cost effective smartphone, is now available in Nigeria. We received our order from Konga and will be sharing the unboxing here. Here is our Z3 first impression review, expect a more detailed review in a couple of weeks. The biggest selling point of the BlackBerry Z3 is its large 5-inch display and fresh software design.

The Unboxing
The box is similar to the packaging of previous BlackBerry devices. The box is largely black with text written in white. On the front side, the name of the phone is written vertically in bold characters.
Once you open the box, you will catch your first glimpse of the massive 5.0-inch display.
Remove the BlackBerry Z3 and pull up the platform it is resting on to reveal the manual and the rest of the accessories. Included accessories are the USB charger and the ear bud.
Because we bought our BlackBerry Z3 unit from Konga, we were entitled to some offers. The first was the free headset for the first 500 orders. We were one of the first 500 to order the phone at Konga so we got the offer. The second, is a free Etisalat SIM with free 500MB monthly for 12 months.
Konga seem to have removed the free headset offer which should imply that they have sold over 500 units of the BlackBerry Z3. The offer for free Etisalat SIM with free 500MB monthly for 12 months is still good, so order here to secure the offer.
Note that there is a catch to the Etisalat offer, you get the first month without payment, but for the other 11 months the 500MB data will be added as additional data for every 500MB you buy. Unfortunately, the SIM that came with the phone is a mini SIM while it requires a micro-SIM, so you will have to cut it to micro SIM size.
Of course, you can use your existing SIM.
