Sony Xperia Z2a is a smaller flavour of the Xperia Z2. It comes with a 5.0-inch display, which makes it smaller than Z2’s 5.2-inch screen. Sony Xperia Z2a comes with every other feature down to the dustproof and water resistance.

The Xperia Z2 never got a compact model, but if you wanted a more compact version of the Z2, the Sony Xperia Z2a is the closest you can get.
Sony Xperia Z2a runs on the Android 4.4 Operating system (KitKat) and is powered by the same quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocking at 2.3GHz with 3GB of RAM.
The 5-inch screen comes with the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution which results in a sharper display great for watching movies and browsing the web. Sony Xperia Z2a also features the same 20.7 megapixels rear camera but the front camera has been downgraded to VGA.
