It was announced as of late that Samsung looks to terminate its Galaxy Alpha line to focus on the mid-end range – and the Galaxy E5 is a good look into Samsung’s plans. Samsung Galaxy E5 has some specs to match Samsung’s high-end flagships, but with some tradeoffs.
The Display
Samsung Galaxy E5 features a 5-inch, HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The Galaxy E5’s Super AMOLED display will make colours more vivid and “pop out” than ever.
The Cameras
Samsung Galaxy E5 features an 8 megapixels rear camera with a 5 megapixels front camera, two cameras that are in line with current smartphone camera expectations. 5MP front cameras are all part and parcel of the “selfie” and wefie movement that’s taking over the mobile world.
The 8MP camera is considered to be respectable for a back camera that consumers hope to use more than a few times a year. After all, Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both feature 8MP cameras.
The Battery
A 2,400mAh battery in the Galaxy E5 will provide a sufficient web browsing experience. The Galaxy E5 offers Ultra Power Saving Mode (UPSM) feature. Samsung’s UPSM feature can provide days on a single charge, and we’ve found that the UPSM feature provides at least 2 days with heavy usage.

Samsung Galaxy E5 is not yet available in Nigeria, but have gone on sale in India. We currently have no data on pricing and availability. When available, Samsung Galaxy E5 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N52,000 to N65,000 at launch.
