HTC Desire 826 is an Android Phablet that combines sleekness with quality features. The dual-SIM device packs a large Full HD display and powerful octa-core processor, while also boasting astounding sound experience with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio technologies.
Design and Display
Considered a successor to the HTC Desire 820, this smartphone shows off a svelte shape, which fits well into the hand despite its large size. The unibody design features polycarbonate material accented by vibrant colours.
The 7.9mm-thick HTC Desire 826 weighs 183 grams. It packs a 5.5-inch display, which puts it in the phablet range. The large screen has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 401 ppi.
Camera and Storage
The HTC Desire 826 Dual SIM is comparable to several flagship smartphones in terms of camera used. It features a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with LED flash and autofocus.
On the front is an UltraPixel (4-megapixel) snapper for selfies and video calling. Both of these cameras support full HD video recording. Onboard storage is 16GB and this is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Performance and OS
With sight set on impressive performance, the HTC Desire 826 is outfitted with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor running at speeds of up to 1.7GHz. The 64-bit chip is backed up by 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU.
Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, which is overlaid with HTC’s Sense UI.
Other Features
HTC Desire 826 supports the concurrent use of two Nano SIMs as well as 4G LTE connectivity. It is designed to deliver immersive sound experience with provision of front-facing speakers using HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio technology.
