The Design
Huawei SnapTo is not a smartphone that could be said to be designed for flashy users, going by its somewhat simplistic design. It has a plastic body with a nice finish that makes for very easy gripping. Put simply, the look might not get heads turning in your direction, but the essentials are well covered.
Display and Camera
The pocket-friendly smartphone sports a 5-inch display with HD (720p) resolution. Huawei SnapTo features a 5-megapixel main camera with HD video recording capability.
There is also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera to take care of your selfie and video calling needs. An interesting thing about the Huawei SnapTo shooter is that it can be quickly launched by pressing the volume-down button two times – the function works even when the screen is turned off.
Power and Performance
Huawei SnapTo is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The chip, which is backed by 1GB of RAM, will not deliver out-of-the-world speeds, but should deliver decent performance for the price.
The entry-level smartphone runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) operating system with app icons placed on the Home screen, instead of a dedicated app section. Juice for powering the device is supplied by a 2200mAh battery.
This affordable smartphone comes with 8GB of onboard storage space, expandable via a microSD card slot. Huawei SnapTo, which is available in black and white colours, supports 4G LTE connectivity. It goes for a price of approximately $180 and is already available for pre order on Amazon.
