Since the Yoga range of laptops was unveiled in 2012, we have been treated to different offerings of the highly mobile machines – the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro did not deviate from that path.
This hybrid is the thinnest and lightest Yoga that have been seen to date. It is just 12.8mm thick – competing with the thickness of a pencil – thin enough to be passed under the bedroom door, according to its maker.
Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro’s weight starts at just 1.18 kg. This unique outcome is made possible through the new hinge used for the laptop, which features a 10-point multi-touch display with Quad HD (3200 x 1800 pixels) resolution and measuring 13.3-inch. The screen resolution comes close to those seen on 4K displays.
Multi-Mode Machine
The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is a highly adaptable machine in that it supports four different modes, namely: laptop, stand, tent and tablet modes. This is made possible by a combination of its innovative design, cool display and an improved hinge, made of 813 different pieces of steel and aluminium.
You can flip the laptop 360 degrees to convert it into the other modes. The Windows 8.1 operating system on which the Yoga 3 Pro runs is able to adapt itself quickly to the different modes and suggest compatible applications for individual modes.
Hardware and Features
Furnished with an Intel Core M processor, the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is designed to strike a fine balance between power efficiency and performance. The ultraportable laptop has standard RAM of 8GB, while graphics are handled by Intel HD Graphics.
It comes with other regulars such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and USB ports (both 3.0 and 2.0) as well as a standard battery that can last for more than seven hours.
