Leading tech company MSI announced at the recently-held Computex 2015 ̶ Asia’s largest IT tradeshow – that it will soon release a refreshed version of its popular gaming beast, the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro. The new laptop will feature innovative eye-tracking or G-Sync technologies, promising a more exciting experience for gamers.

Eye Control
MSI announced a partnership with Tobii Technology that will enable it use the eye-tracking company’s technology in the upcoming GT72 Dominator Pro. This technology will enable gamers control games using their eyes, making the notebook the first to have this sort of feature.
The Tobii EyeX eye-tracking technology was put to test at the Computex 2015 event – used to control the game Assassin’s Creed after first going through a calibration process. The feature can be used to turn game character right, left, up and down, but forward movement still had to be executed using a key combination.
The MSI GT72 Dominator Pro with Tobii eye tracking will not be available this year (2015), but should be in stores sometime next year.
G-Sync Support
Another model of the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro, which will be launching this year will come with the innovative NVIDIA G-Sync, offering variable display refresh rate of between 30 and 75 Hz. With this new feature, MSI joins Gigabyte and ASUS as the only tech companies with laptops supporting this technology.
G-Sync ensures slicker animations for a more enjoyable gaming experience without glitches.
Specifications
Just like its highly-rated predecessor, the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro is expected to offer powerful gaming performance and superb audio. It will pack the same massive 17.3-inch display as the earlier version with Full HD (1080p) resolution.
The new MSI GT72 Dominator Pro laptop will feature an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M graphics adapter. This GPU should deliver excellent graphics, even for newer games, as it will now be paired with 8 GB of GDDR5 video memory – up from the 4 GB provided for the original GT72 Dominator Pro.
However, 4GB graphics memory will be offered in entry level models.
The laptop is expected to be powered by latest Intel Core i7 mobile processors since MSI now ships all its new gaming machines with those. System memory of up to 32 GB will be supported on the forthcoming MSI GT72 Dominator Pro.
Pricing and availability
MSI GT72 Dominator Pro gaming laptops are not yet available in Nigeria. If and when available in Nigeria, you will be able to purchase this powerful notebook at leading online stores in the country. MSI GT72 Dominator price in Nigeria is expected to start at around N440,000, depending on your location and the configuration of the laptop.
