The newly-launched HTC Desire 526 is a mid-range Android smartphone, which represents a slight improvement on the more affordable Desire 520, which also just launched. It packs an improved display compared to the other phone, but offers the same robust processor and fast browsing speeds.

This smartphone improves slightly on the size of the HTC Desire 520’s screen with a touch display measuring 4.7 inches diagonally. The touchscreen also has an improved resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, enhancing the sharpness of the display.
On the camera front, HTC Desire 526 is the same as the other devices it was launched with. It has an impressive 8-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and back-illuminated sensor (BSI). There is also a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for taking selfies. The cameras have HD (720p) video recording capability.
Performance and OS
HTC Desire 526 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor which is clocked at 1.1 GHz. The chip is paired with 1.5 GB of RAM to enable it handle decent multitasking and offer acceptable degree of responsiveness.
Very recent Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system provides the platform for running the Desire 526, promising exciting user experience similar to that of the HTC flagship smartphone One M9. The software is coated with HTC Sense skin.
