Display and Camera
ASUS Zenfone Selfie features the same display as the original Zenfone 2 – a 5.5-inch Full-HD display. The IPS panel has a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch to let you enjoy amazing, wide-angle viewing.
ASUS retains the same 13-megapixel shooter with dual LED flash, laser autofocus, touch focus, face detection and HDR on the rear of the Zenfone 2 Selfie. The main area of improvement is the front camera, which has been upgraded from 5 megapixels to an impressive 13 megapixels, for better quality selfies.
The selfie snapper also features dual LED flash and autofocus for breathtaking shots.
Power and Performance
Like ASUS Zenfone 2, the Zenfone Selfie is powered by an octa-core processor, but this one runs along at a slightly slower speed of 1.7 GHz. There is less RAM as well – 2 GB or 3 GB – compared to 4 GB available on the Zenfone 2, but for a mid-range phone the figure is still impressive.
An Adreno 405 CPU takes care of graphics. ASUS Zenfone Selfie is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, which is coated with ASUS’s ZenUI skin. The same 3000mAh battery supplies the juice needed to enjoy impressive performance.
Other Features
ASUS Zenfone Selfie is expected to be made available in 16GB and 32GB variants, with storage space expandable by up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The phone supports the concurrent use of two SIM cards.
In addition, it supports ultra-fast 4G LTE connectivity to allow you enjoy out-of-the-world mobile browsing and downloading experience. Connectivity capabilities also include microUSB, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Wi-Fi Direct and Hotspot. Zenfone Selfie handset features GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.
Pricing and availability
ASUS Zenfone Selfie is not available in Nigeria. ASUS does not currently offer phones in Nigeria so the availability of this phone in the country is in doubt. If and when available, ASUS Zenfone Selfie Price in Nigeria is expected at around N39,000 to N55,000.
