MTN BaaS is a prepaid hosting service that is designed to help small and medium-scale businesses back up important files and folders to MTN data centre backup servers on-the-go.
The backup service not only provides businesses an off-site storage solution, but a secure one as well. Your data is encrypted by default and is transferred to MTN backup servers via a secured VPN tunnel, helping to keep your sensitive information safe.
The backup data is encrypted while in storage and can only be decrypted when it is restored by the customer.
A customer interested in the backup service will need an internet-connected device, a web browser and the Baas client to get going; that is, in addition to having subscribed to a plan.
Users can schedule automatic backups when using the MTN BaaS service, which offers intelligent data selection. With BaaS, you are assured your data will not be lost if your device or computer ever gets corrupted, damaged or stolen. Another benefit of using remote storage solutions such as this is that you are able to access your data anywhere.
Package Types and Storage Allocation
MTN BaaS is made available in two main packages: Basic and Advanced. The main difference between the two is that the Basic package allows use of the service without having to do any on-site hardware installation, while the Advanced offering involves the installation of a backup appliance on customer’s LAN.
The Basic package is ideal for customers looking to back up small-size data from their mobile devices, while the Advanced plan is perfect for businesses looking to back up massive data on desktop computers and servers over the LAN.

MTN BaaS comes in 6-month and 12-month options, with storage allocation starting at 3 GB for N6,000 for six months or 11,000 Naira to one year. There is no limit to the number of devices you can add, so long you stay within your storage allocation.
