The Design
Considered the replacement for the highly-rated Fitbit Force from 2013, the Charge looks just like what you would expect of a fitness band. It has a small OLED display that lets you see time, the number of steps you have taken, distance covered and estimated calories burned, amongst other information.
You fire up the display to see this information by double-tapping on it or pressing a side button. The fitness tracker comes in small, large and extra-large sizes. Fitbit Charge is available in available in four colours.
Fitness and Sleep Tracking
The Fitbit Charge helps you keep track of how active you are every day so that you can see where you need to improve to achieve your fitness goals. Fitness trackers from Fitbit long have a reputation of being good at doing this – this one continues the trend.
It not only counts the number of steps taken or distance covered, it also takes count of number of steps climbed, or elevation, with the aid of an integrated barometer. It can track individual sessions separately.
The Fitbit Charge has the capability to use the GPS on your phone to lay out the route for a specific fitness routine. It also tracks your sleep automatically and wakes you with a silent alarm at set time without disturbing others around you.

The fitness tracker is compatible with more than 120 smartphones running on Android, iOS and Windows operating systems. Syncing with these devices can be done wirelessly allowing you see your fitness data on the go.
You can also sync your information with a Mac or Windows computer. The Fitbit app lets you challenge your friends and there are badges to be earned for each milestone reached. Fitbit Charge’s battery boasts an impressive runtime of about a week on a single charge.

Fitbit Charge will costs 99.99 GBP. It is not yet available in Nigeria and we currently have no data on pricing and availability for Nigeria. When available, Fitbit Charge Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N32,000 to N50,000 at launch.
