This dirt-cheap slate sports a 7-inch diagonal display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. That screen resolution is on the low side, but is within the range of tablets of similar price range. However, the Amazon Fire tablet offers an IPS display so at least you get a decent viewing experience.
On the camera front, the tablet offers very basic configuration. Amazon Fire comes with a measly 2-megapixel rear camera and a lowly VGA front-facing snapper for selfies.

Users appear to be in for decent performance when you consider that this Fire tablet is powered by a quad-core processor. The chipset is paired with 1 GB of RAM and deliver speeds of up to 1.3 GHz per core.
The new tablet runs on the latest Fire OS 5 ‘Bellini,’ Amazon’s own custom version of Android. What this choice of OS means is that you will not be able to use apps available in Google Play store; you will have to get your apps from Amazon.

The $50 Amazon Fire tablet comes with on-board storage of 8 GB, with about 5 GB expected to be available to users. In addition, there is a microSD card slot to allow you add up to 128GB extra storage.
Amazon Fire is equipped with a battery that is rated to deliver as long as seven hours of use. The slate will be available in Wi-Fi only model. It has a USB 2.0 port for connecting to a laptop or desktop PC.
