Design and Display
The Lenovo ‘S’ line-up, of which the IdeaPad 500S is a part, comprises slim notebooks, so it is not exactly surprising to find that the laptop features a thin profile. It boasts a portable design with a thickness starting from 19.5 mm and weight starting from 1.5 kg.
The svelte laptop has a highly flexible hinge that allows you open it out to up to 180 degrees for better viewing. It comes in platinum silver, ebony black or flamenco red finish. Lenovo IdeaPad 500S will be available in three sizes: 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch. The displays offer up to Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Performance
Lenovo IdeaPad 500S is decked out for solid performance with latest 6th-generation Intel Core i Series processors – up to Core i7. The Skylake family processors get backing from ample DDR3L RAM of up 8GB capacity.
The laptop should be able to handle some demanding games and apps, given that you have option of having discrete graphics on your unit. The 13.3-inch model can be configured with NVIDIA GeForce 920M graphics processor, while the larger models offer a more powerful NVIDIA GeForce 940M GPU.
