Versions and Design
Motorola has decided to offer users more options this time with its Moto 360 2. The smartwatch is available in three different versions: men, women and Sport. The men’s version is available in 46mm (same as the first Moto 360) and 42mm sizes, while the variant for women measures 42 mm and has a slimmer 16mm strap mounts.
The Moto 360 Sport also has a size of 42 millimetres and an exercise-friendly rubber strap, unlike the leather and stainless steel strap offerings for the other versions.
Motorola Moto 360 2 boasts quick release bands that do not require any special tool to swap out. Users will be able to customise the finish and appearance of their units with more than 300 combinations, according to Motorola.
The Display
The same round display used on the original Moto 360 is also found on this new smartwatch, along with the ‘flat tire’ at the bottom of the screen. The always-on display is based on IPS LCD technology and protected by tough Gorilla Glass 3.
The 46mm Moto 360 (2nd Gen) has a resolution of 360 x 330 pixels for a pixel density of 233 ppi, while the 42mm version has a 360 x 325-pixel resolution and an improved pixel density of 263 ppi.
Motorola says an ‘Anylight’ hybrid display – a combination of a regular LED-backlit screen and a front-lit reflective variant – is used for the Moto 360 Sport to enable users view information without any problem when working out outdoors by automatically switching between the two screen modes under different light conditions.
Performance and Battery Life
Motorola Moto 360 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor – a popular choice among Android Wear devices. This new chip should allow users enjoy better performance and improved battery life.
The watch’s maker estimates a battery runtime of 1.5 to 2 days on a single charge. RAM of 512MB capacity provides support to the processor.

Additional Specs
The smartwatch boots the latest Android Wear OS and is compatible with devices running on Android and iOS platforms. The Sport variant features an integrated GPS. Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) has 4GB onboard storage and a heart rate monitor.
It supports wireless charging and can stay in 1 m of water for up to 30 minutes without any issue.
Pricing and availability
Motorola Moto 360 2 will cost between $299.99 to $429.99. It is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, Motorola Moto 360 2 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N59,500 to N150,000 at launch.
