The tablet, which is the third resulting from the partnership between Barnes & Noble and Korean tech giant Samsung, comes with a larger screen and at a more pocket-friendly price.
Description
Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook measures about 0.33 inches in thickness while weighing slightly less than 550 grams. It crams in a massive 9.6-inch diagonal display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The slate is made to do similar things you will expect an Amazon Kindle to do. You can use it to read books, newspapers and magazines in either portrait or landscape mode. Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook puts millions of titles available on Barnes & Noble, including comics and children books, within your reach.
Hardware and Software
The tablet is equipped with a Qualcomm APQ 8016 processor which runs along at speeds of up to 1.2 GHz. You get ample internal storage of 16 GB for storing thousands of books.
There is also a microSD card slot for expanding storage further by up to 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook runs on Android operating system, but the specific version was not disclosed.
More than a Reader
Unlike the Amazon Kindle devices, the Galaxy Tab E Nook is not designed only for reading books. You can do virtually all that can be done on a regular Android slate – browse with apps, play games, watch movies or stream TV shows.
The device boasts its maker’s Multi Window feature which lets you split the massive screen for seamless multitasking. You can also create or edit word documents, spreadsheets and presentations with the preloaded Microsoft Office suite.
