Design and Display
Just like its bigger cousin, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) sports a premium design featuring metal and Corning Gorilla Glass. It is thicker now at 7.3 millimetres and also heavier at 155 grams.
It will come in the same four colour variants as the Galaxy A7 (2016). The Super AMOLED display is bigger at a diagonal size of 5.2 inches and comes with an improved Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels for more immersive viewing experience.
Camera and Storage
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, just like pair on the Galaxy A7 (2016). The main shooter features an f/1.9 aperture lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS).
There is ample onboard storage of 16 GB for keeping photos, videos and other files. You will be able to expand storage by up to 128GB more using a microSD card.
Performance and OS
A significantly more powerful octa-core Exynos processor, which is clocked at 1.6 GHz, sees to the heavy-lifting on Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016). This means it should be able to deliver impressive multitasking.
However, the 64-bit chip is paired with a smaller 2 GB of RAM, compared to the 3GB on the Galaxy A7 (2016). The smartphone boots Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system – a significant improvement on the 4.4 KitKat OS on its predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) will be equipped with a significantly larger 2900mAh battery, which most certainly improves on the 15 hours of talk time offered by the 2300mAh juicer on the original device.
