The Oppo F1 is a new camera-focused phone that looks to be targeted at young users, especially the selfie enthusiasts. Sporting an all-metal body, the mid-range smartphone carries an 8MP selfie shooter, an HD display, decent storage and an octa-core Qualcomm processor.

Design and Display

Oppo is increasingly making a reputation for itself as a company capable of making attractive devices. While its new F1 is not extremely classy, the smartphone does look appealing with its aluminium unibody design and gold finish.

It flaunts an attractively svelte profile at a thickness of just 7.25 millimetres. Oppo F1 packs a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Being an IPS panel, the screen looks like one capability of delivering enjoyable content viewing. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Camera and Storage

The camera department is a major area where Oppo F1 excels. It offers an impressive 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, with users able to use the screen as flash when taking images in poorly-lit environment. The selfie shooter, which uses an f/2.0 lens, comes with a Beautify 3.0 feature and 8 live colour filters for superb quality images.

You also get a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens and LED flash on the rear. There is decent 16GB internal memory for storing your content, and the capacity can be extended using a microSD card.

Processor, RAM and Operating System

Oppo F1 is configured to serve up solid performance considering the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor supplied under the hood. The powerful Cortex-A53 CPU, which is paired with an Adreno 405 GPU, delivers speeds of up to 1.7 GHz. For smooth multitasking and high responsiveness, Oppo provided ample 3 GB of RAM on this one.

The smartphone will run on its maker’s own ColorOS 2.1 software, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
Juice will be supplied to the Oppo F1 by a 2,500mAh battery. The phone supports the simultaneous use of two SIM cards as well as 4G LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi.

Oppo F1 is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy it at leading online stores in the country. Oppo F1 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N50,000 to N70,000 depending on your location in Nigeria.
