Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) is the successor to the affordable Pixi 3 (7) tablet from 2015. The new slate maintains the entry-level classification of its predecessor, although it offers the latest Android Marshmallow software.
Display and Camera
As you could easily guess from its name, the Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) packs a 7-inch diagonal display which is based on TFT technology.
The same screen resolution of 600 x 1,024 pixels and pixel density of about 170 ppi are maintained on this one, meaning not much should be expected by way of clarity.
Virtually nothing has changed in the camera department as well. You still get either a 2-megapixel or 5-megapixel sensor on the rear, depending on the model of the Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) bought – without flash and autofocus.
The shooter captures HD (720p) videos at 30 frames per second. It is paired with either a VGA or 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfie taking.
Hardware and Software
The Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8321 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. This Cortex-A7 CPU is paired with an ARM Mali GPU and 1 GB of RAM. Onboard storage memory has a capacity of 8 GB, extendable by up to 32 GB via a microSD card slot.
You can also get a model with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage – of course, at a higher price. A key talking point of the Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) is that it runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system for highly enjoyable user experience on this platform.
Miscellaneous Specifications
Power is provided to the tablet by a 2,580mAh battery, which surprisingly has lower capacity than the unit supplied for last year’s Alcatel Pixi 3 (7).
Connectivity options include microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1, 3G HSPA and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. You also get GPS with A-GPS for positioning and navigation from place to place.

Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy it at leading online stores in the country. Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N30,000 to N60,000 depending on your location in Nigeria.
