Design and Display

The HTC Desire 530 looks like one built to appeal to young users, with its manufacturer saying it intends this and the other new midrange Desire phones to serve as fashion and consumer electronics.

The body is fashioned out of polycarbonate, but its attractiveness is a bit enhanced by the speaker grill you find above and below the display. The Desire 530 sports a 5-inch Super LCD display with HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels for decent viewing.

Camera and Storage

In the camera department, the HTC Desire 530 provides an 8-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor. These look like units that can serve up decent shots in theory.

The selfie snapper, in particular, should deliver great shots for a device in this range. Onboard storage has a generous capacity of 16 GB, with this being expandable by a whopping 2 TB via a microSD card slot.

Performance and OS

With a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210, the Desire 530 is a phone made for modest performance. The speed of the CPU is clocked at 1.1 GHz, which limits the capability of the phone to an extent.

However, 1.5 GB of RAM promises provision of much-needed performance boost. The smartphone will boot Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, with HTC’s Sense UI running on top.

Other Features

HTC Desire 530 will be accompanied by a 2,200mAh battery, which looks like one to support full-day usage when you consider the choice of processor.
