Featuring a plastic body, the Intex Cloud 3G Candy looks less pleasing to the eyes compared to its more-expensive cousin – this was most likely done on purpose. It also comes in slightly thicker at 10.1 millimetres. The phone looks just like what you’d expect a smartphone this cheap to look like.
It packs a 4-inch capacitive touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The clarity should be good enough, but wide-angle viewing is not to be expected.
Camera and Storage
The Intex Cloud 3G Candy packs the same pair of simple cameras provided on its slightly costlier cousin. The primary camera uses a 2-megapixel sensor and features LED flash. You also get a VGA front-facing camera for whatever quality of selfies it can give you.
Onboard storage capacity is a very miserable 512 MB; please don’t ask us what you can do with the measly allocation. Luckily, there is a microSD card slot for adding up to 32 GB more.
Performance and OS
The heavy-lifting duty on the Intex Cloud 3G Candy is allocated to a single-core Spreadtrum SC7715 processor – a wicked decision you may say. The entry-level CPU has its maximum speed capped at 1 GHz and gets support from a highly paltry 256 MB of RAM limiting the level of performance to realistically expect.
