LG K5 Price & Specs

LG K5 is one of the latest additions to its Korean manufacturer’s new K Series of reasonably-priced smartphones, which also features the K10 and K4. It is kitted with an FWVGA screen, a quad-core processor and Android Lollipop OS.

Design and Display

This budget smartphone parades an attractive, sleek design with a metallic body. It comes in at a thickness of 8.9 millimetres. LG wants the K5 to stand out among devices in its category by making it available in gold, silver and titan colour variants.

The LG K5 is fitted with a 5-inch diagonal display with an FWVGA resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. That’s ample screen estate you have there, although the screen resolution could have been better.

Camera and Storage

The LG K5 will likely not appeal to some going by what it offers in the camera department. It comes with a combo of 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera.

It is, however, a bit cheering that the front-facing snapper supports Gesture Shot, so you should be able to take selfies more easily using gestures.

The LG K5 offers 8 GB of onboard storage, which surely will not suffice for many users. There is nothing much to make fuss about, though, since the phone supports microSD storage expansion.

Power and Performance

A quad-core processor of unknown make gives the LG K5 the muscles needed to get things done. The CPU runs along at top speed of 1.3 GHz and is assisted in its mission by lowly 1 GB of RAM.

This is definitely an entry-level phone looking at this configuration – power users should proceed with caution. The LG K5 will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system which its maker promises will offer feature-rich user experience.

The duty of power supply is overseen by a 1,900mAh battery that one could easily say does not appear quite promising in terms of runtime to expect.

It comes with standard connectivity options, including Bluetooth 4.1, 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

LG K5 is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy it at leading online stores in the country. LG K5 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N27,000 to N40,000 depending on your location in Nigeria.
