Elephone Vowney Lite is a stripped-down version of the Elephone Vowney. It comes with a huge Full HD display and a slightly less-powerful octa-core processor as well as lower RAM and storage in comparison to its higher-end brother.

Build and Display

The build of the Elephone Vowney Lite is comparable to that of the regular Vowney. Its rear panel features a carbon fibre texture.

The handset has metal frame to enhance ruggedness. But it must be said this is not a highly portable device.

Elephone Vowney Lite crams in similar 5.5-inch display as the more-expensive variant, although this unit comes with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

A pixel density of about 400 ppi still makes for awesome clarity and great wide-angle viewing on the IPS LCD screen.

Camera

This phablet retains the camera prowess of the Elephone Vowney. On the rear will be found a heavy-duty 21-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus.

This shooter holds promise of great image capturing, even in lowlight conditions. For selfie taking, the Elephone Vowney Lite comes with a powerful 8-megapixel front-facing camera for high quality shots.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, this beast carries an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor running along at speeds of up to 1.9 GHz – the Vowney uses a 2GHz, octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 in comparison.

The robust 64-bit CPU is paired with ample 3 GB of RAM and an impressive PowerVR G6200 GPU. With this configuration, buyers can still expect fluid performance and gaming on Elephone Vowney Lite.

Onboard storage has 16GB capacity, expandable by another 128 GB using a microSD card. The Elephone Vowney Lite boots Android 5.1 Lollipop software coated with its maker’s Elephone UI skin.

Other Features

The same high-capacity 4,000mAh battery seen on the Vowney is retained here and longer battery life should be expected on this one, given its lower-res Full HD display and slightly less-intensive processing capability.

The Elephone Vowney Lite also retains the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner said to offer 360-degree fingerprint recognition. It supports lightning-fast 4G LTE connectivity and offers dual-SIM slots (Micro SIM + Nano SIM).
