Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the most premium member of Lenovo’s second generation plus-sized Phab smartphone range. It offers a 6.4-inch display like the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2, but packs a lot more pixels with QHD resolution. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro sports 4GB RAM and is the first smartphone to offer Google Tango augmented reality technology.
Display and Camera
Like the two other phones in the latest iteration of the Phab series, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro features a 6.4-inch IPS display. However, while the Phab 2 offers 720 x 1280 pixels and the Phab 2 Plus 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro offers much more with 1440 x 2560 pixels.
This gives the phablet a pixel density of 459 ppi, which should give it a brilliant view. Above the display you will find an 8 megapixels camera for selfies and video calls.
However, the major distinguishing feature in the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the 16 megapixels camera on the back. The camera offers Tango AR technology with its wide-angle and depth-sensing feature.
The camera can enable you track object and project augmented reality objects for gaming, education, etc. The camera comes with autofocus, HDR, Panorama, Face Detection, and 4k video recording.
Hardware and Software
Lenovo Phab 2 Pro runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) on a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652. The SoC consists of two quad-core processors capable of up to 1.4GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. The Android phablet has 4GB of RAM and 64Gb built-in storage, which like other members of the Phab 2 range can be upgraded by up to 256GB via the SIM2 slot using a microSD card.
Lenovo Phab 2 Pro offers super fast downloads of up to 300 Mbps. The phablet supports Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro comes with a 4050 mAh battery and supports fast charging.
