Infinix Zero 4 X555 Specs and Price – 4G Android Phone

Best Freelancers to help you Grow your Business

Infinix Zero 4 (a.k.a. Infinix X555) is the fourth generation member of the Infinix Zero series. It is an incremental upgrade compared to its predecessor, the Infinix Zero 3, with upgrades on software and camera. Though, the rear camera of the Infinix Zero 4 dropping from 20.7 megapixels to 16 megapixels may seem like a downgrade, the introduction of Optical Image Stabilisation and Laser autofocus more than makes up for it. The true upgrade to the Zero3 is the more premium Infinix Zero 4 Plus.

The Design and Display

Infinix Zero 4 features a metal unibody that gives it a premium look. Obviously the back is not removable, which means you cannot remove or swap out the battery.

Similarly, you will use the SIM tray on the right side of the phone to add up to two micro SIM cards. On the left side, you will find a dedicated tray for the memory card. Infinix Zero 4 will be available in Champagne Gold, Lilac Grey, Champagne Gold, Barbie Pink, or Filber Brown.

Infinix Zero 4 features a similar 5.5-inch display as the Zero3 with the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The front of the phone is covered with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Like in the Infinix Hot 4, you have the fingerprint sensor located on the back of the phone.

The Cameras

On paper, you may feel like the Infinix Zero 4 offers an inferior camera compared to the Zero3. However, like Samsung and Apple has proven, the quality of a camera is not just about the raw resolution.

The Infinix Zero 4 may offer a 16 megapixels camera, but it is now adding Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and faster laser autofocus.

With OIS you can reduce blurry photos and shaky videos that result from your hand shaking while shooting or recording. This will probably result in better quality photos and fewer retakes.

Another major feature that you will appreciate in the camera of the Infinix Zero 4 is the introduction of a Pro mode for manual camera control much similar to the one on the UMi Plus. If you love having more granular control of the camera, the Pro Mode will be great for you.

The Pro Mode enables you manually control camera characteristics like exposure, shutter speed, white balance, ISO, etc. This leaves the possibilities of this camera only limited by your skill and imagination.

The Zero 4 is also getting an upgrade for the front facing camera. You will get an 8 megapixels camera for selfies. The front camera supports what Infinix calls Panoramic Selfie, which enable you squeeze in more friends in a selfie. Both cameras offer LED Flash.

Hardware and Software

Like the Infinix Hot S and all other Infinix Phones after it, the Infinix Zero 4 offers Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). However Infinix is promising Android 7.0 upgrade for the smartphone. Infinix Zero 4 has a MediaTek MT6753 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

You also get 3GB RAM to ensure things run smoothly and 32GB of built-in storage for your files and downloads. If you need more storage, the Infinix Zero 4 has a tray for the left side that can support up to 128GB additional storage.

Infinix Zero 4 sports a 3300 mAh non-removable battery. This is a slight improvement to the 3030 mAh battery offered by the Zero3. You also get a fast charger that can give you up to 5 hours talktime with just 10 minutes charge.

Just like the Infinix Note 3 and Infinix Hot 4 Pro, the Infinix Zero 4 offers fast downloads thanks to 4G LTE. You also get a traditional USB port rather than the more modern USB Type C port.

Infinix Zero 4 supports 4G LTE on MTN, Etisalat, Glo Mobile, NTel, Smile, and InterC in Nigeria. The Android phone also supports LTE on MTN and Safaricom in Ghana and Kenya respectively.
