Display and Cameras
The Huawei P10 features a metal uni-body and is available in many colours including Ceramic White, Dazzling Blue, Dazzling Gold, Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, Mystic Silver, Rose Gold, and Greenery. The Dazzling models are fingerprint resistant.
Huawei P10 sports a 5.1-inch IPS Display. It offers the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution of the P9, but is now covered with the more recent Corning Gorilla Glass 5. An 8 megapixels camera is provided above the display for taking selfies and making video calls. The front camera also offers autofocus.
Huawei P10 offers an improved Leica camera. Huawei calls it a Leica dual camera 2.0. The camera combines a 20 megapixels monochrome sensor and a 12 megapixels colour sensor to deliver great pictures. The camera supports Optical Image Stabilisation, Laser and Phase Detection Autofocus, and improved low light performance.
Hardware and Software
Huawei P10 is powered by the Huawei Kirin 960, which is the same chipset available in the Huawei Mate 9. The chipset offers two quad-core processors clocked at 2.4GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. Huawei P10 is loaded with Android 7.0 (Nougat) and 4GB RAM. Depending on the model, you will have options of 32GB or 64GB internal storage. A 128GB option may also be available in some countries, specifically China.
The Android phone supports NFC, USB Type C, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4G LTE. Huawei P10 will be available in four main models, though the VTR-AL00 and VTR-TL00 seems to be targeted at China.
The VTR-L09 and VTR-AL29 are the models that will be going to the rest of the world. Both models of the Huawei P10 will support 4G LTE on all networks in Nigeria including MTN, Glo, Etisalat, NTel, InterC, and Smile.
Pricing and availability
Huawei P10 is not yet available in Nigeria, it is expected to begin its global launch in March starting at a price of 649 Euros. We currently have no data on pricing and availability for Nigeria, Ghana, or Kenya. When available, Huawei P10 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from 250,000 Naira to 350,000 Naira depending on your location.
