Design and Display
Dell Alienware 15 gaming laptop parades similar highly robust chassis as its smaller brother. It also features the no-frills, rugged design that gaming machines are known for. Its construction features anodised aluminium, magnesium alloy reinforced with steel.
However, the Dell Alienware 15 is slightly fatter than the 13-inch model. It uses the Alienware TactX keyboard that features metal plate underneath and offers nine programmable keys.
But it appears buyers will not be able to get an OLED display on this one, unlike the Alienware 13. This gaming laptop comes with an IPS LCD panel that measures 15.6 inches diagonally. The screen boasts Full HD resolution.
You can have even more immersive experience with an Ultra HD 4K display with touch option. There is also optional G-Sync support.
Performance
On the inside, the Dell Alienware 15 carries latest Intel Kaby Lake processors (up to Core i7) and DDR4 RAM (up to 32GB). It delivers speeds of up to 3.5 GHz and the CPUs offer hyper-threading support.
AMD or NVIDIA dedicated graphics ensures fluid and responsive performance. Like the 13-inch model, the Dell Alienware 15 offers the NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU with 2GB graphics memory and NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU with 6GB graphics memory.
However, the Dell Alienware 15 is adding options for NVIDIA GTX 1070 GPU and AMD Radeon RX 470, both with 8GB dedicated graphics memory.
The Alienware Amplifier allows you add more punch to graphics performance. New DirectX 12 technology promises even better graphics that before. Solid state drives give fluid performance and responsiveness further boost. Dell Alienware 15 supports VR gaming in models with Intel Core i7.

Buyers can expect solid sound as well with Klipsch and Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi technology on board. The Dell Alienware 15 runs on Windows 10 operating system.
