Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet parades a rugged design that will please road warriors. It is a device you can carry around with little worry of it getting damaged. It is built to pass military grade MIL-STD 810G testing for durability and toughness. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Hardware and Software
Being a follow-up, you’d expect the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 to offer more powerful performance. That’s just what you’ll get. The tablet loses the previous quad-core processor and now comes with an octa-core Exynos 7880 processor. This pairs with higher RAM of 3 GB, compared to the original Galaxy Tab Active’s 1.5 GB.
Onboard storage remains at 16 GB, but you have option of using a microSD card to expand this by additional 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 boots Android 7.1 Nougat with Samsung’s TouchWiz skin.
Other Specs and Features
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes with improved cameras. You will find a higher-res 8MP sensor on the rear, replacing the previous 5MP. For selfies, there is also a bump to 5 MP, from the measly 1.2 MP provided the last time.
A 4,450mAh battery is still in charge of power supply here. This juicer is removable and supports reverse charging, meaning you will be able to boost your other mobile devices with it.
A key selling point of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is its support for Bixby voice assistant. There is report that an LTE model is in the works.
