Camera Performance
The Note 9 delivers sharp images, capturing colours, corners and outlines with perfection. It’s a huge upgrade on the Note 8. The clarity of the focus point and background is sharp with decisive colouring. The blacks are even darker with brighter colours appearing clearer with more depth.
It can handle all lighting scenarios using its dynamic range feature, it handles poor lighting and soft shadows with ease giving a clear concise image. The image stabilisation software is great and out performs all other Samsung devices removing the blurry images which have featured in some Samsung models in the past.
In the last Samsung camera phones have not been known for their colourful photos. Both the main camera and the selfie camera have been optimised to deliver great performance all round with the colours popping out of the photo.
Featuring 4K HDR recording brings the movie aspect inline with the Huawei P20 Pro, Pixel 2 and Sony XZ2. Movie making is gradually moving onto mobile devices as technology in smartphones is catching up and, in some cases, overtaking traditional cameras.
