NaijaTechGuide is by far the largest technology blog in Nigeria. For 13 years we have consistently enlightened our readers about the latest gadgets and how to use latest technologies.
We don’t do this for the awards, but it sure feels good to be recognized. This is why we were ecstatic when we got the news in July, 2019 that we had won the award for the best tech influencer in Nigeria for the year 2018 from Askifa.
The beauty of this award is that we did not have to do anything apart from receive it. We were not even aware we were nominated.
Unlike a number of these awards where you have to be soliciting for votes, this award did not have any of that. They did their survey, collected responses and announced the result.
To give it more credibility, the results of the survey was featured on BusinessDay newspaper of May 31, 2019 (see page 40)
Naija Tech Guide was put in the survey alongside five (5) other tech personalities and blogs in the country, and we came out tops for that category.
It should also be noted that this came from a total of 1,018 responses from all over the country and possibly beyond.
Entries were judged using the following criteria:
- Survey (1,018 Responses)
- User Experience
- UI / UX Design
- Innovation
NaijaTechGuide was not the only winners.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 won the award of the best smartphone in Nigeria 2018.
Boomplay and PayLater got the award for the best app and best fintech app of 2018 respectively.
Other awards include, best smartphone camera which the Tecno Camon 11 Pro edged the iPhone XS, but not by much. Infinix, Tecno Spark 2, and Itel won best mobile brand, best budget smartphone, and best feature phone brand for 2018 respectively.
In all, this award means a lot to us, and we cannot thank you enough for having followed us thus far. We promise to work hard in bringing you even better content, updates, breaking news, tips, how-tos and just about everything you want to know in the tech world.
