Despite the two years gab, the phone still maintains the old design. There’s absolutely no improvement on the body and it doesn’t have much on the specs and hardware. You will only get bigger storage and it runs on the same Android Go Edition.

Design and Display
Just as mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (2020) has nothing special. It comes with the same body design with the 2018 model. The phone has a small body with a smooth panel and a thick bezel on the front.
It features plastic on the back and frame while the front has a glass. The Galaxy J2 Core measures 143.4 x 72.1 x 8.9 mm in dimensions and its weight just 154 grams.
The visible bezels on the front were able to offer a standard screen size of 5.0 inches PLS TFT LCD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It still retains the 16:9 aspect ratio and also a gorilla glass protection on the 2018 model.
Camera
On the camera department, the Galaxy J2 Core (2020) packs a single 8-megapixel camera at the back. This primary camera support autofocus and can record 1080p videos at 30fps. You will get a 5-megapixel front camera close to the front speaker to take care of your selfies needs.

Rocking the system of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (2020) is an Exynos 7570 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The SOC has 14nm chip with four Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics and good gaming experience.
It has an internal storage of 16GB that is paired with 1GB RAM. Users can further expand the storage up to 256GB via a microSD slot. The major takeaway here is that this entry-level device runs Android Go Edition even though it still runs Android 8.0 Oreo.
This is to say the OS and apps are optimized to run on low-end hardware, in this case, a 1GB RAM phone. The Android Go also comes with a Smart Manager which allows users the option to move apps and contents to the microSD card.
Battery and Network
Powering the phone is a removable battery capacity of 2,600mAh which can last up to 14 hours when browsing the web over LTE and even longer over Wi-Fi (2.4GHz).
