Design and Display
The Honor X10 Max 5G comes with a similar body design with the Honor X10 device that was introduced back in May. It comes with a rectangular camera housing and a slightly curved back. However on the front, instead of a pop-up camera like the Honor X10, it packs a waterdrop display on the screen.
The good news is that it retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which also serves as the power button. The smartphone measures 174.37 x 84.91 x 8.3mm and weighs 232 grams.
As you can see, it’s a big device and definitely can not be handle with a single hand. If you can recall back, this phone is similar to the Honor 8X Max with a 7-inch+ display launched in 2018.
The large 7.09-inch IPS LCD display has a 1080p resolution. Furthermore, the LCD panel supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10. This will surely offer decent brightness and it has a peak brightness of 780 nits.
The Honor X10 Max 5G rocks RGBW panel instead of the traditional RGB. There is also W – white subpixels which will reduce the power consumption of the panel when white is being displayed.
Honor also claims that by using an RBGW panel, the X10 Max will reduce power consumption as compared to a normal LCD panel. The panel filters out harmful Blue light (415-455nm) through software.
Camera
As for the camera configuration, the Honor X10 Max 5G has a 48MP shooter that’s paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The camera features an LED flash and can shoot 4K videos. Meanwhile on the front is a selfies camera of 8 MP.
Hardware and Software
Rocking the Honor X10 Max is a Dimensity 800 5G chipset. The SOC has an octa-core processor clocking at 2.0 GHz with Mali-G57MP4 for graphics. The onboard storage is 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
You can further expand the memory up to 256GB using the Nano card. It runs on the Android 10 operating system with Magic UI 3.1 slapped on top.
Battery and Network
There is a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging, which is bigger than the 4300mAh capacity on the X10’s. The phone has 4G and 5G networks with other features like dual 1217 linear stereo speakers with smart PA for amplifying its sound.
It also supports Huawei Histen 6.1 sound with Wi Fi, AGPS, Glonass, Beidou, and NFC.
