Design and Display
The Realme X3 Super Zoom follows a design trend we have seen on other recently released Realme phones. The continuous reoccurrence of this design accents sort of gives the impression that Realme has become accustomed to offering a familiar design across its smartphone series.
On the rear, we have a glossy finish with a gradient design that brings patches of different shades of the color. This rear panel is home to an array of quad cameras, an LED flash, and the Realme branding.
On the front is a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display which is home to a cut-out that housed dual front-facing cameras. This display has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400, a 120Hz refresh rate and a screen density of 399 PPI
Build property on this smartphone comprises of glass on the rear, plastic on the frame and Gorilla glass 5 upfront.
The Cameras
The Realme X3 Super Zoom packs in a set a capable camera, with the chief of them being its 8MP Pericscope telephoto camera which is capable of 5x optical zoom, similar to what we had on the Oppo Reno 10x zoom.
Other cameras on the rear panel include a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. This setup is capable of shooting 4k videos at 30/60 fps, 1080p at 30/60fps and 720p videos up to 960fps.
Selfies are manned by a dual-camera setup comprising of a 32MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. This setup is capable of shooting videos capped at 1080 @ 30fps. It features a Panorama mode for photos.
Hardware and Software
The Realme X3 Super Zoom may not feature the most recent hardware components, but it does give assurance for a near top-notch experience.
Under the hood is last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ which you can also find on smartphones like the Oneplus 7T and the OnePlus 7 Pro. Despite being a product of last year’s innovations, the 855+ processor promises flagship performance, for reasons which are not far fetched.
Also supporting performance is an Adreno 640 GPU, 8GB or 12GB RAM options, 128GB / 256GB internal storage and a non-removable 4200mAh Li-Po battery.
On the software side, we have the Realme user interface running on the Android 10 operating system.

The Realme X3 super Zoom features a USB Type-C port, dual-band Wifi Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Please note that there isn’t a 3.5mm headphone jack and as such private audio listening is done either through a USB-C headphone or via a wireless headphone
Internet connectivity on the Realme X3 Super Zoom is capped at 4G LTE, this means you won’t have the luxury of 5G internet speed. Download and uploads are limited to 4G speed.

The price of the Realme X3 Super Zoom is around $560 for the maxed out 12GB / 256GB variant, which is about 217,000 Nigerian Naira, 59,645 Kenyan Shillings and 3,242 Ghana Cedi.
