Design
This mid-price tier robot vacuum has a nice balance of performance and design. It sports a similar design with most of iRobot Roomba vacuums. The iRobot’s Roomba E5 features a round design crafted out of plastic material.
At first glance, the glossy top host three buttons located in the center of the vacuum. The main button is the “CLEAN” button, placed in between the other two button acts as both a power button and an automated cleaning button.
By the left side of the clean button is the home button which is use to command the vacuum to return back to its home base and begin to charge. On the right however is the spot clean button to place the vacuum in a in spot clean mode.
The iRobot’s Roomba E5 vacuum measure a dimension of 13.3 x 3.6 x 13.3 inch, thus, enabling the robot to clean under beds, sofas, toe kicks, and other hard-to-reach areas.
This vacuum also has a light indicators at the bottom for the battery, Wi-Fi connection, and the status of the vacuum all above the controls.
At the bottom, iRobot Roomba E5 host a multi-surface roller brushes, brush caps, a brush frame release tap, an edge sweeping brush, cliff sensors, a caster wheel, and charging contacts.
Above all, the Roomba E5 is equipped with 500 ml dust tank which is easy to clean by opening the top lid and removing the container.

Smart Features
iRobot Roomba E5 can also be controlled using the iRobot Home app that allows you to connects to the vacuum through WiFi. Hence, you can control your vacuum using your smartphone.
