Design
Roborock S6 Pure robotic devices take the same form and design as almost all the other smart vacuums in the market. It is designed in circular shape using a high-quality gloss plastic and comes in either white or black.
There are two buttons on the top for shortcut controls, including powering down the unit and sending it back home to the charging dock. The front panel lifts up to reveal the removable dust bin for easy emptying.
Similarly, there is a laser scanning module positioned at the top to map out its environment in other to prevent collision.
The Roborock S6 Pure bottom view is the same design with S5 Max and S6 MaxV, with one side brush and a narrow brush roll, to sweep dirt from the sides and corners towards the main brush underneath, so as to suck up the dirt.
It also host 180ml water tank for mopping, a brush frame release tap, the caster wheel, and charging contacts.
Cleaning Function
The Roborock S6 Pure is designed to handle both mopping and sweeping tasks.
It comes with a 180ml tank feeds water to a mop pad fitted with a switch which selects one of two different drip rates to control the water flow.
However for the sweeping task, S6 Pure comes with a powerful suction power which can absorb particles including beans, seeds, hair and more.
It comes with four suction modes which provides up to 2000Pa suction power to pulls in gobs of fur, kitty litter, fine dust, and dry pet food.
This vacuum adopts a Z cleaning pattern to suck up the debris it encounters. The Roborock S6 Pure is also fitted with a replaceable and washable high-efficiency filter.
Navigation
Roborock S6 Pure is equipped with LIDAR (light detection and ranging), a home navigation which is fast and efficient every time, day and night.
It also comes with a turret-based laser, mounted on the top of the robotic vacuum, to illuminates objects so as to assist in determining their location, size, shape, and distance.
Furthermore, Roborock S6 Pure is also equipped with infrared imaging, and can also see in the dark.
The laser rotates at 300 RPM, calculating distance by measuring the time it takes the laser beam to reach an obstruction and be reflected. Hence it can build an accurate map and guide the robot as it travels from room to room.
The Roborock S6 Pure is also equipped with series of sensors, including an accelerometer, odometer, infra-red cliff sensors, and a compass. These sensors makes the vacuum sensitive, hence, it ensure the robot did not fall of the stairs and also avoid obstacles.
Intelligent Mapping and Set-up
In addition to the two shortcut button on the vacuum for controlling, S6 Pure comes with supports for app control. The Roborock application allows you to connect to your vacuum using a smartphone serving a remote control.
Similarly, this app allows you to make an appointment for cleaning, adjust specific map parameters, set barriers and exclusion zones, as well as check the cleaning status in real time on your smartphone.
Thanks to WiFi connection, you can connect to your vacuum at any level in your home.
Additionally, you can fully control the vacuum with your voice, thanks to support for Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant.
