Looking for a SurfShark VPN Review? We had the pleasure of testing this great VPN and today I would like to tell you about it, because it really is a great product.
Surfshark is one of the cheapest VPNs I’ve ever seen. When I first came across this service, I was immediately tempted: how can you not be curious? With such a low price, it’s really interesting to understand what a Virtual Private Network can offer us.
I want to be clear and transparent: usually, especially when privacy and security are involved, I never save. Considering that VPNs are generally cheap, I would happily spend a little more if that’s the case. My test, initially, was just curiosity.
So I registered on the official site, installed the software and started surfing. I can tell you that, against all my expectations, this is a really good service. Clearly with an aggressive pricing policy there are some features that you have to give up, but for an average user that’s fine.
If all you are looking for is a little extra privacy and security, with no professional-level pretensions, Surfshark is a great way to save and get exactly what you need.
Here I want to tell you about my experience with this service:
SurfShark VPN offers an extremely complete and performing service, one of the lowest prices on the market to have a unique system of its kind.
Surfshark is a VPN based in the British Virgin Islands. Exactly, precisely those islands where the world’s billionaires hide their money safe from taxes and prying eyes; it seems trivial but it is not at all.
There are jurisdictions that collaborate with each other to exchange data on the digital activity of their users. The British Virgin Islands do not partner with virtually any institution in the world, making them a perfectly safe place to establish a VPN.
The features of Surfshark are the same as we can find on “premium” VPNs, with few exceptions.
To begin with, of course, you have the option of browsing with a foreign IP, to bypass geo-blocking and censorship. Surfshark currently has a network of 1,700 servers in 63 countries, on all continents of the world.
The number of servers is not particularly high, but the amount of places in which they are located is considerable and competes with more expensive services.
That’s the basics, but we have some other cool features I’d like to tell you about:
1. Maximum Privacy and Maximum Control
All our browsing data is encrypted when we use Surfshark, which allows us not to be the victim of cyber attacks. Any hacker who tries to get between us and the server we connect to will ultimately receive nothing but a completely incomprehensible packet of data.
Our browsing data is not even visible to Surfshark. The no-log policy of the company, in fact, provides that the data visited and the files downloaded by each user are not stored and processed by the company.
One great thing I discovered with Surfshark is Camouflage Mode. By activating it we can even prevent our internet service provider from knowing that we are using a VPN: privacy has just reached a new level.
Whitelister
I found the Whitelister feature, which is missing on a lot of more expensive VPNs, very interesting. This feature allows you to choose some sites or apps on which to automatically disable the use of the VPN.
For example, if you want to use this service to browse online, but don’t want to decrease the connection capabilities when you play, you can.
3. CleanWeb
The last thing I want to tell you is a feature that Surfshark calls CleanWeb. This is an integration already included in every subscription that allows us to surf the internet using a different and better experience.
This software will automatically disable advertisements, protect us against spyware, malware and viruses. If we want to use the VPN to go and look in the less secure corners of the network, it is a great ally to have with us.
