Design
Acer Spin 3 is a thin, light, and stylish convertible laptop. It is made out of aluminum with a center-positioned Acer logo on the lid. This 2-in-1 laptop is quite slim and portable with just 15.9 mm thin body and 1.4 kg weight, but, it is durable.
With the 360° rotatable hinge, this laptop can be switched between laptop, tablet, tent or stand form. In addition, this laptop lid can easily be opened with a single hand.
When opened, the lid house a 13.3-inch display screen covered by a glass layer with thin bezel on the sides but a slightly thick bezel at the top and a huge bezel at bottom. However, the thick top bezel host the HD camera, while on the bottom bezel is a boldly inscribe Acer logo.
The Acer Spin 3 base chassis also host the full-sized island keyboard with white backlit and large keys with good spacing and travel distance, despite the compact design. Below the keyboard sits a soft plastic touchpad for easy navigation. It’s a Microsoft Precision touchpad and so it was responsive in swiping and using multitouch gestures.
Furthermore, at the right top side of the touchpad there is a nicely positioned fingerprint sensor.
Acer Spin 3 connectivity has an impressive upgrade compare to its predecessor.
