Design
Compare to its predecessor, the Probook 450 G7, the HP Probook 450 G8 sports a slimmer body with classic finishing. It sports an aluminum lid and a plastic base, hence it is rugged, durable, yet, portable.
Measuring a dimension of 14.15 x 9.2 x 0.78 inches and weighing 1.74 kg compare to the 2.0 kg of the last year model, thus, the laptop is light enough to slip in and out of your handbag all day long.
At first glance, the most noticeable feature about the HP Probook 450 G8 is a stylishly inscribed Trademark at the middle of the lid. This lid is easy to open even with a single hand.
On the inside, the flat lid host the 15.6-inch screen with thin bezels around it. Inside the top bezel sits a 720p webcam and on the slightly thicker bottom bezel there is also a clearly inscribed HP logo.
The bottom chassis is made of plastic material, with a spill resistant full-sized keyboard that has nicely sculpted keycaps and excellent spacing for efficient performance. It also has a NumberPad section at the left. This keyboard illuminates white LED light for easy use in low light condition. Although, it is optional.
Below the keyboard, there is also a plastic clickpad with Windows 10’s multitouch gestures support. There is enough space beside the clickpad at the keyboard deck for armrest to make your typing experience easy and comfortable.

The premium option offers a 15.6-inch non touch FHD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1000 nits of brightness with 100% sRGB colour gamut and the HP SureView Gen 3 Reflect which provides an extremely effective privacy experience. Lastly, the base model has a 15.6″ antiglare HD display with 1366 x 768 resolution and up to 250 nits of brightness. It also has 45% NTSC for video or photo work.
