Design and Display
The Umidigi A11’s design may not be very far-fetched from the design of the Umidigi A9. However, the added flat panel and the gradient design style on the rear are something to appreciate. It feels more like a missing touch that has finally been placed.
Running through more than half of the left side of the rear panel is a text that reads “Beyond your dreams”, which is sort of similar to what we have ongoing with the “Dare to leap” text on Realme smartphones.
Moving upfront, we have a single 6.53 inch IPS LCD display with a drop notch as seen on the Umidigi A9. The highlights of this display include a resolution of 720 x 1600 and a 20:9. This is a bit smaller than the this display in its predecessors the Umidigi A13, the Umidigi A13 Pro, and the Umidigi A13s.
Enthusiasts who purchase this Android smartphone will have two colour options that include Mist Blue, and Frost Grey.
The Cameras
The main camera upgrades on the Umidigi A11 over the A9, are in the rear setup, where we have a 16MP primary camera, as opposed to the 13MP primary camera on the A9. The 5MP depth camera on the A9 was replaced with a 5MP Macro camera which in my opinion is more useful.
Lastly, we have an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view, which is reminiscent of the A9. This camera setup is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p @ 30fps.
Upfront, we have a single 8MP camera, which Umidigi says is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p @ 30fps.
Hardware and Software
On the performance side, we have the MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which is the exact same processor featured on the Umidigi A9. However, we have got a 4GB / 64GB RAM and storage option, as opposed to the maxed-out 3GB / 32GB on the A9.
Still, on the performance train, we have the PowerVR8320 GPU, a non-removable 5150mAh battery paired with a 10W charging mechanism.
On the software side, we have the stock Android user interface running on the Android 11 operating system.
Connectivity
The Umidigi A11 features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi.
Internet connectivity on the Umidigi A11 is capped at 4G, which means enthusiasts won’t be getting 5G connectivity.
